As I was staying in the area and we have not visited the Cricketers for sometime it was agreed we would hopefully enjoy Sunday Lunch there on the 27th April.  We were not disappointed; I can report that the staff are still very friendly and attentive, the food from the chalk board is very varied and still very pleasing to the palate!  All three of us enjoyed the roast of the day a choice of Pork, Beef or Chicken.  We chose two beef and one pork.  Excellent crunchy roast potatoes, crunchy vegetables, huge Yorkshire Puds, and plenty of meat. £9.95 each.  With coffee and no pudding and just a glass of wine each – driving! – it came to £££ per head inc. tip.

Great garden for al fresco dining if we every get a Summer!!  We still advise booking early.

Ladies Who Lunch Scoring:

Quality of food 4/5
Variety of menu 4/5
Staff and service 4/5
Ambience and décor 3/5
Value for Money 3/5

Total Yummy Factor

18/25

Report: SM

5/5 = Cannot be improved upon, 4/5 = Very good, 3/5 = Good,
2/5 = Satisfactory, 1/5 = Poor, 0/5 = Terrible

The higher the “Yummy” factor, the better the food & service. The higher the number of £ signs the more expensive. (Roughly one £ sign = £5 per head)
